About Us - So What’s in it for you?

The benefits are clear:

Raven’s cakes are as good as home-made because that’s just what they are, only made in a bakery. These cakes taste home-made and they look home-made.

Raven Patisserie’s cakes are all made by hand. We use the finest ingredients and we’re always looking for new ideas, new products, ways to improve what we have. The recipe for success really is quite simple: the best ingredients, close care and attention to detail, listen to customers, prompt and accurate service. You will always find cheaper but we doubt you’ll find better.

Rebecca is in charge in the bakery. She has a wealth of experience and is always trying new ideas, sending her latest speciality to customers to find out what they think. Frans works in the bakery too but he’s mainly responsible for the administration of the business and looking after the figures.

A bit about
Passionately Cakes.
Dawn began making Passionately cakes nine years ago, baking cakes to her own recipes in a smart Hertfordshire tea room. As things progressed she was able to open a second tea room and then later, to start supplying her cakes to other tea rooms in the area.

Things got so hectic that Dawn found premises near to Clavering, tucked up in the far north-west corner of Essex. Finally she found that she was spending so much of her time running the bakery she had to sell the tea rooms, both successful in their own right.

Wilkin and Sons became involved in Passionately Cakes in 2003.

Today, Passionately Cakes is the brand name for the countline bars, ‘grab and go’ as Dawn calls them.

And then there’s Raven – Rebecca and Frans.
Rebecca and Frans began working together only a few years back but they very quickly turned Raven Catering from a successful small outside caterer to a patisserie, making all the pastries and cakes that the very best restaurants and hotels in the region might want.

From their premises in Harlow they made daily deliveries, supplying both fresh and frozen to meet the most demanding requirements. Raven and Passionately came together late in 2005 at a time when Passionately Cakes sales were growing too fast for the business and Raven’s sales were growing too fast for their premises.

The two companies combined in 2005 and Rebecca and Frans took control of all aspects of the business, working on new ideas, improvements to recipes, better organization and quality control, making sure that customers got exactly what they wanted, when they wanted.

And finally Tina.
Tina looks after telesales, customer care, orders and lots of other things besides. She is also the vital link between orders, production and sales, working to ensure that the bakery knows who wants what and when.
